I don't have any tips on getting things going - I tried EVERYTHING with all all of my babies. My tip would be to make sure you treat yourself in some way every day you have left before Buggy comes, in whatever way you like: yummy food, massages, visits from people who aren't going to annoy you etc. That really helped the tough last days of my pregnancy with Moe go quicker.
acupuncture can induce. also evening primrose rubbed on the cervix can help get things going. but these things are really not recommended until you are closer to 40 weeks. are you off the progesterone? as that clears your system over the next week things may naturally kick into gear. walk, walk, walk! xo
I tried spicy food and a pedi - neither worked but I had a yummy meal and pretty toes. Chasing and carrying around 20 month old twins for 3 days worked for me - I recommend finding some. I bet Laura would be willing to loan hers to you if you want :)!
My mom suggested scrubbing the floor on hands and knees but that's where I drew the line.
I just wrote a note and somehow deleted it....arghh. Let me try to duplicate. I think the best thing is talk to Buggy and let him know you are ready for him. Scott can have a man to man with him too. Let him know how important that deduction is. Hopefully that will make Buggy want to kick someone. Unfortunately, that someone will be you. But fortunately, then you get to hold him. Eagerly awaiting B.Hirsch. The Granda-Scotts
Wow, did you ever think you'd be trying to bring labor on instead of holding it off?! Such a beautiful and exciting change :) And seriously, behaving yourselves since 22 weeks...do you really need suggestions for other methods of inducing labor?
all the suggestions i can think of have already been said here...sex, spice, nipple stimulation...good luck and keep us posted and i'll call you this weekend to check in cant' wait to meet buggy! xoxo
I am feeling so excited about Buggy's arrival! I bet it feels good to be off of bedrest. I think I heard once that there is a place in your hand that is connected to the uterus a reflexology thing, could try massaging there. I have also heard the other things that have already been suggested. But in the end, I think Buggy will decide when he is ready to make his long awaited entrance into your arms.
Hmmm. Brian & I dined at TGIFriday's the night I went into labor with Georgia, so it appears you are going to have to get yourself out for a nice, pedestrian meal. (-; Teasing! Good luck, you've got lots of great suggestions here!
I was also going to suggest evening primrose oil, to help "ripen" the cervix, but you sound pretty ripe. and re: sex, it's really only helpful if you have an orgasm... hmmm, TMI? I'll be anxiously awaiting an update.
I also want to echo Olga!! I was walking around dilated for 2 weeks, and didn't feel ready for G to come. Then, I told baby that I was ready for him (though i didn't know it was a him, yet) to come, and that we loved him very much, and then my water broke that night.
I was on my feet baking cookies for 4 days prior to going into labor... But what really worked was being released from pelvic rest...my husband came home early from work that day... at least I think that is what did it or it was coincidence that I ended up in labor a few hours later... :)

sex?
Walk, walk, walk. STAIRS double time!
nipple stimulation is supposed to work, and well, sex. you could combine the two?
if that fails, some old lady told me to move my fridge across the kitchen, because that is supposed to work.
Bring on the lovin'!

Gah, was my comment really annoying? Sorry. I would have wanted to kill whoever suggested something like that when I was 36 weeks pregnant!
x
Jess, not at all! All three of those are on the calendar, I know they'll help, and maybe the foot massage will bring on labor.
Go Buggy! ONE day left for a Chanukkah baby ;)

Hi Paige,

Hang in there,

Wooooo whoooo, congrats on another milestone. Thinkin of you lots!!!
FLIP CUP! (sorry couldn't resist)
Lots of walking, lots of sex, spicy food. The fun stuff.

What worked for me, having my membranes stripped two or maybe three times :)
With my first four we had the membranes stripped and then the loving seemed to set things in motion. My husband said he felt used. LOL
Didn't have my membranes swept with George because I'd been so sick I wanted things to rest up and let things happen on their own....sigh.
Thinking of you!
Um I can't help you on this one Paige as I've never had this particular problem! :)
Go Buggy go! We are all desperate to see you in your mama and daddy's arms.
xo
My mom ate a sack of White Castle burgers and then went into labor but that could have been a coincidence !
I was thinking that maybe a Vikings win would do it. Maybe next week huh?
